Young jack fruit Curry/ Polos Curry
INGREDIENTS
- 500g tender jack, cut into medium size pieces
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 onion thinly sliced to temper
- 2 Tomatoes chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped to temper
- 2 green chilies, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 3 to 4 goraka pieces
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1tspn chilli powder to temper
- 1/4 tspn turmeric powder to temper
- 2 tbsp roasted curry powder
- 1 tbsp pepper powder
- 1 tsp turmeric
- coconut milk (second extract)+ thin coconut milk
- Thick coconut milk
- Rampe and curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Beef boild with turmeric powder and salt
METHOD
- Boil da polos with salt turmeric powder and goraka pieces and once done take off the goraka pieces and to the same pot add all the ingredients and add second coconut milk + thin coconut milk and cook until done.
- When polos pieces are almost fully cooked add cooked beef and thick coconut milk and bring to boil and simmer and cook until the gravy thickens.
- To another pan Add mustard seeds and cover with a lid.
- After the mustard seeds pop add to the polos curry and to the same pot add oil and garlic, onion turmeric powder chilli powder rampe, curry leaves, Sauté until fragrant.
- Add this mixture to the polos curry.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
